DriverDepartment:Emergency Services
Job SummaryResponds as dispatched in a timely manner to load, transport, and unload patients who require nonemergency transport respectfully and safely. Operate the wheelchair van in a safe efficient and orderly manner while on duty.
Core Duties:Physicians, nurses, other hospital departments, coworkers, other ambulance services, students.
Decision Making:In conjunction with Supervisor, Dispatch, and other staff decisions that are in the best interest of the patient and their well-being should be made.
Physical Assessment:Walking on various terrains, lifting large amounts of weight from equipment and patients, pushing/pulling/ and loading/unloading stretchers, operating medical equipment.
Exposure Classifications:High exposure risk
